On June 19, 2026 at the invitation of Rosa Zantaria, Chairman of the Chamber of Lawyers of the Republic of Abkhazia, a meeting was held with Anas Kishmaria, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Abkhazia.
The main topic of discussion was the legislative and practical challenges related to providing free legal aid to socially vulnerable categories of citizens in the Republic of Abkhazia, as well as the establishment of cooperation between the Commissioner for Human Rights and the Chamber of Lawyers in this area. To enhance the availability of free legal aid to citizens, the Chairman of the Chamber of Lawyers proposed a draft agreement aimed at fostering collaboration between these bodies.
In response, Anas Kishmaria emphasized the urgency of the issue and expressed her willingness to establish cooperation on this matter.
