At the invitation of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova, the Ombudsman of Abkhazia Anas Kishmaria arrived in Moscow on July 12. As part of the intensive program of the visit, which will last until July 15, on July 13, an agreement on mutual understanding of the parties will be signed between human rights institutions, after a working meeting of the commissioners at the House of Human Rights. The development and strengthening of international contacts with colleagues is one of the priorities of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Abkhazia. The most visited country for our citizens is the Russian Federation, as well as the overwhelming number of tourists in Abkhazia are citizens of Russia. Cultural, economic, social and many other aspects of the life of our country and the Russian Federation are closely linked. In this context, the establishment of cooperation between the ombudsmen of our countries is a logical continuation of strengthening relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation.
