The working meeting of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Abkhazia Anas Kishmaria and the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Abkhazia Adgur Agrba took place on Thursday, July 27 in Sukhum.
During the meeting, the parties expressed confidence in the need for constructive cooperation between the institutions within the framework of the implementation of the task of state-building and development of Abkhazia.
The Prosecutor General informed the Commissioner regarding specific cases relevant to the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Abkhazia. An understanding was reached on the need for prompt interaction in case of issues of protection of the rights of citizens of Abkhazia and persons who applied for help to the office of the Ombudsman.
Anas Kishmaria noted that the meeting in this format is taking place for the first time. In turn, Adgur Agrba proposed to maintain constant communication with the office of the Commissioner, at the level of both the central office of the Prosecutor Generals Office and district structures, in case of such a need. The meeting was held at the initiative of the Commissioners office.
