The Human Rights Commissioner of the Republic of Abkhazia Anas Kishmaria visited Kazan
at the invita on of the Human Rights Commissioner of the Republic of Tatarstan to
par cipate in a conference on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of
the Ins tute of the Commissioner in the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as in the
Coordina ng Council of Human Rights Commissioners in the cons tuent en es of the
Russian Federa on of the Volga Federal District.
As part of her stay in Tatarstan, Anas Kishmaria took part in the na onal holiday Sabantuy
which is celebrated in Kazan on June 21 this year.
The first President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minmer Shaimiev, the current Rais,
Rustam Minnikhanov, and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federa on, Marat
Khusnullin, also took part in the holiday.
