Dear citizens of Abkhazia!
Congratulations on the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War! This holiday occupies a special place in the history of our country and people, personifying the unyielding will and heroism of older generations.
The multinational people of Abkhazia know the price of freedom and peace. More than 55 thousand residents of Abkhazia fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War in 1941–1945, of which more than 17 thousand did not return from the battlefields. Twenty-two residents of the Republic of Abkhazia were awarded the titles of Heroes of the Soviet Union.
On this day we glorify the feat of our fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers. Our sacred duty is to always remember what a high price they paid for our freedom, for our right to live and create.
I wish goodness, happiness, harmony and prosperity to every family on this holiday! Peace and prosperity to all the people of the Republic of Abkhazia!
